ENHANCING SKILLS AND COMPETENCES OF LOCAL ACTORS TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF PLANT-BASED REMEDIES AND PHYTOMEDICINES IN BENIN FINANCÉ PAR ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2

The MINNAGAN project entitled "Enhancing skills and competencies of local actors for
sustainable development of plant-based remedies and phytomedicines in Benin" aims to
strengthen higher education in Benin in order to improve research and
research-based teaching, enabling traditional medicine resources
to make an effective and sustainable contribution to the healthcare of the
population, by inducing a paradigm shift towards the evidence-based use
of standardized methods and properly formulated phytomedicines.

REDUCING THE IMPORTATION OF ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE BY DAY-OLD CHICKS AND HATCHING EGGS IN BENIN

The ICARS-funded project, titled “Reducing the importation of resistance to
antimicrobials by day-old chicks and hatching eggs in Benin", addresses
significant risks linked to the importation of antimicrobial resistant bacteria via
day-old chicks and hatching eggs.

EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE AND RATIONAL APPROACH TO THE USE OF MEDICINAL PLANTS IN BENIN: COCONSTRUCTIVE PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGY, RESEARCH, AND DISSEMINATION OF GOOD PRACTICES

Our project is based on
the idea that a sustainable and rational approach to the use of medicinal plants in
Benin requires complementary activities targeting both higher education
in research on medicinal plants and the dissemination of good practices to
practitioners of traditional medicine.

TOXICOLOGICAL AND ANTIDIABETIC ACTIVITIES OF MEDICINAL PLANTS INVOLVED IN THE ENDOGENOUS MANAGEMENT OF DIABETES MELLITUS: A HOLISTIC STUDY FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PHYTMEDICINES

The three-year project aims to improve the endogenous management of diabetes
mellitus in ECOWAS countries (Benin, Cape Verde, Ghana, and Nigeria).

GOOD HYGIENE – IMPROVING THE SKILLS AND PRACTICES OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS IN HOSPITALS TO PREVENT MATERNAL AND NEONATAL INFECTIONS IN BENIN (MIMIN)

The
MIMIN project promotes hygiene among healthcare professionals and communities by
modernizing the training of healthcare professionals, offering continuing education
in higher education institutions, and encouraging local solutions
to improve hygiene practices.

FORMULATION OF ACTIVE PHYTOMEDICINES AGAINST ANTIBIOTIC-RESISTANT BACTERIA AND CORONAVIRUS: EXPLORING THE POTENTIAL OF AFRICAN FLORA

The project aims to collect ethnobotanical data on plants
African medicinal products, evaluate their effectiveness and safety, form a youth taskforce
scientists and create a regional collaboration platform.

ERASMUS+ GLOBAL MOBILITY (ICM)

This project thus contributes to the development of local skills, the improvement
of the quality of education and the strengthening of North-South cooperation in the
field of health and biological sciences.
